Bernie Rey Diamond
Southwest Regional Business Development Manager

bernie diamondBrooklyn-born Bernie Diamond is Southwest Regional Business Development Manager for Advanced Arm Dynamics’ Center of Excellence in Dallas, Texas.

Mr. Diamond’s work for Advanced Arm is infused by his personal belief in the powerful emotional and spiritual healing that occurs when a person is able to overcome obstacles and reach important life goals. A former fitness model and professional hip hop dancer, Mr. Diamond lost his hand in 2001 as an innocent bystander of a violent crime. Although he had established a successful career as a hair stylist, Mr. Diamond decided to pursue a different path after recovering from his injury and resuming an active physical lifestyle. As a patient at AAD, he had experienced firsthand the dedication and care the AAD team provides to its patients. It became his mission to work on behalf of amputees and help them and their families understand that life is not over after a traumatic injury and that individuals can regain functionality with the proper medical and prosthetic support.

Mr. Diamond acts as the liaison between Advanced Arm Dynamics and all referral sources, including physicians and their staffs, case managers, therapists, hospitals and clinics. He also educates the medical community and patients on the continuing advances in prosthetics by coordinating regional upper-extremity prosthetic seminars. With his deep commitment to a cohesive team approach and strong communication skills, Mr. Diamond goes the extra mile to ensure that the many professionals responsible for patient care — both within AAD and in the larger medical community — have the information they need to accelerate the referral, treatment and payment process, allowing patients to focus on their rehabilitation, rather than funding issues.
