Advanced Arm Dynamics Presents Prosthetics Chapter for New Military Medical Textbook

Advanced Arm Dynamics, one of the nation’s leading providers of upper extremity prostheses, announced today that they have been invited to author a chapter on upper extremity prosthetics care for the upcoming new version of “Care of the Combat Amputee”, a textbook of military medicine.
The presenting team from Advanced Arm Dynamics included John Miguelez, CP, FAOOP, Dan Conyers, CPO, MacJulian Lang, CPO, and Kristin Gulick , OTR/L, CHT. A mobile team from Advanced Arm Dynamics which consists of certified prosthetists, technicians, a patient coordinator and an occupational therapist has been working with WRAMC for the last four and a half years and has provided upper extremity prosthetic care to more than 150 upper extremity amputee soldiers. During that time, over 1,000 prostheses have been designed and fit for this challenging population.
The chapter will consist of fitting techniques, procedures, new technologies and latest protocols followed at designated military hospitaqls, like Walter Reed Army Medical Center. The authors that are contributing to the textbook have been invited from across the nation and include experts in their respective fields.
