Mr. Prigge joined AAD in 2008 as the clinical manager of the Midwest Center of Excellence in Waterloo, Iowa. Ms. Peterson joined AAD in 2010. Prior to that, she was a staff physical therapist at Fairview-University Medical Center in Minneapolis for 17 years. She has extensive experience in wound care, inpatient rehabilitation and clinical education.
"Minneapolis was selected as the location for our new center for two reasons,” said John Miguelez, CP, AAD president and senior clinical director. “The first is Pat Prigge---an exceptional upper extremity prosthetist who provides the highest level of patient care. The second reason is to give patients in the North Central region of the country better access to comprehensive upper extremity prosthetic rehabilitation. “
The North Central Center of Excellence will open March 1. It is located at 11671 Fountains Drive, Suite 220, Maple Grove, MN, 55369. It features a full lab, comfortable patient rooms, a conference room and a kitchen, and includes convenient amenities like cable television, movies and Internet access. A friendly and experienced office staff is on hand to assist patients and their families.
“The Minneapolis center is focused completely on the patient’s needs and helping them feel at home for however long they are here,” said Prigge. “Our goal is to truly listen to people, and then educate them about new technologies and opportunities. We want to hear patients say ‘Wow---this prosthesis is going to change my life.’ ”
