In these last few weeks before the year turns to 2026, our centers have gifted us with their holiday photos and some end-of-year reflections on the patient care that we’ve been privileged to offer. Keep reading and scrolling to enjoy festive photos and some comments our team members have shared in 2025.

Our North Central Center in Maple Grove, Minnesota:

The center’s prosthetist, Andy (above left), remembers a patient he worked with in July:

Our patient Kurt has an above-elbow amputation and was looking for a prosthesis that would help him get work done around his house and yard. After being fit with a body-powered device, he was able to practice shoveling during his sessions with Becky, our clinical therapy specialist, and he just lit up. He even sent us a video of himself digging a trench in his yard, using his prosthesis and smiling. I know a lot of us, me included, may grumble about having to do yardwork. My wife and I do a lot of gardening and landscaping at home. While digging a hole isn’t really fun work, I now will find myself smiling and thankful for the abilities that we all take for granted from time to time.

Our Midwest Center in Kansas City, KS:

The center’s patient coordinator, Shirley (above left), recalls her memories of talking with a patient:

I often think about something that one of our patients told me this year: “It always seems impossible until it’s done.” She had been struggling with her amputation and was very nervous about the reaction of other people. She had developed anxiety around leaving the house and preferred just to stay home. But after some interactions with the public, she told me she quickly realized people did not care as much as she thought they would. When she received her prosthesis, it gave her the confidence to keep going and not let her life just stop because of her amputation.

Our Northwest Center in Portland, OR:

The prosthetic technician at our Portland center, Cullen (above right, seated), was thinking about the range of patients who he worked with last year:

The one thing that has stood out to me this year has been the contrast between the different chapters that some of our patients are on in their journeys. When we have a new patient come in, there’s lots of questions, uncertainty, trying to figure how to get their feet back underneath themselves. But the patients who have been seeing us for years, they come in with hugs, jokes, and we’re asking them to catch us up on all the stuff that they’ve been up to, and what new stuff they’ve been working on with their prostheses.

When I see the new patients, I know that while they might be worried for their future, I’m remembering the longer-term patients, the struggles they have overcome, and all the milestones they’ve hit. It gives me hope that in the long run, those new patients will be able to outmaneuver whatever life throws at them. Each week, our center can be so different depending on who is in, and I enjoy the perspective that offers.

Our Gulf Coast Center in Houston, TX:

At our Houston center, one of our newest team members is Lucas (above left), a patient relationship manager who told us about one of the patient’s he met this year.

One of the most memorable patients I met this year was Yanick. When I first started in May, he was already in the middle of receiving the cast for his prosthesis after a long road of surgeries and setbacks from a workplace accident. What stood out immediately was his huge smile. He was genuinely excited for all parts of the fitting process … even the part where we had to dip his residual limb into cold impression material used for fitting purposes. Every time I saw him after that, whether he was picking up his take-home prosthesis, or working with Tim, our occupational therapist, that same smile was there. Yanick reminded me not to hold on too tightly to my own stress or challenges, but to be present and choose joy. For all of us, there’s always something worth smiling about.

Our Southwest Center in Dallas, TX:

Our prosthetist, Rob (above left, standing), and our clinical therapy specialist, Carina (above right, standing), work at our Dallas center. While several patients stand out to them, they asked to share this comment from one of our patients, which they particularly appreciated:

When I had my accident, I felt like my world caved in. I did not know how to proceed forward with the appearance of a partial missing finger. Arm Dynamics was able to satisfy and ease my mind by producing a prosthesis to fit and match my fingers. I was able to continue with my life as normal. I am doing well because the people at Arm Dynamics truly care about everyone they have ever helped in any way possible. They have consistently done follow-ups with me on a regular basis. I have been coming since 2010, and I personally thank them very much for giving me life satisfaction.

While this year has been full of challenges for many, it’s heartening to know that so many people are able to find their way forward with the help of our team members, both the ones at our centers, and those at our corporate office. What new experiences, advancements and milestones will 2026 bring? We’re excited to find out with you.
